Basics

  • By commissioning myself, the artist, you as the client/commissioner automatically agree to my terms of services. These guidelines are set in stone as we both may abide by everything written in this T.O.S. when commissioning me.

  • Please note, as an artist I heavily despise the usage of AI (artificial intelligence) and refuse any usage of it within my artwork and writing. Meaning that everything written out here is hand written by myself, the artist and owner of this T.O.S. (For more information on AI usage and my art, please refer to the section titled “AI Usage/Generative Programs’).

  • Retain all rights as the artist to decline or turn down any concepts, ideas, or sketches that brings forth any discomfort to myself or any individual party. Any commission can be denied if it breaches my terms in any way, shape, or form as I deem properly.

  • Retain all rights to post the commissioned work for my artist portfolio, social media (Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok, Bluesky, ect…) If the commissioner would like their commission(s) to be private, and not potentially posted to ANY of my social media, they must verbalize this prior to any work being started on said commission(s).This ensures that I, the artist, don’t post any works in progress shots, rendering process, or even a slight snippet of the said commission(s).

  • Will have personally signed/watermarked ALL artwork (all artwork created not for myself, but commissioned) to prevent possible theft. Some works will not be signed if it is a personal doodle or artwork made for myself. This is for my safety as an artist. I sign every piece created with either my last name [VIDRO(with the last two digits of the current year following it)], or with full illustrations, my complete signature, dated. If the signature and/or watermark is tampered with, it will be addressed completely and fully. If the signature and/or watermark is not visible due to the nature of the commission(s) (Ex. Commissioner wanted an icon drawn of their fursona, my signature is not at all visible due to pixel shrinkage.) The commissioner is required to credit my work instead on the platform that the icon is being used on. (Ex. “Icon credit to @chromewaterfalls on instagram!”) As the example mentioned, that quote is perfect for credit being given.

  • All Artwork commissioned is assumed to be used for personal usage. By default, commissions are NOT to be used commercially (Artwork being used for personal/business related monetary gain – Ex. Commission of an illustrated character meant to be put on a t-shirt – Ex.(2) Emote Commission of a client’s mascot for their Twitch channel.) Please see the section titled “Commercial Usage of Artwork” for further information on commissioning me for commercial usage.

  • As the client, you are responsible for storing the made commission somewhere safe after it is completed. It is not my complete responsibility to search and retrieve made commissions after it has been completed. It is expected by the client to store their commission somewhere safe as I can’t always find past made works, especially after some time has passed (after said commission has been completed).

  • The commissioner/client may repost the finished artwork as they please. As long as proper credit is given in some way, the client is free to display the artwork, as long as it doesn’t breach any rules with commercial usage (assuming the client didn’t pay the commercial fee).

  • Absolutely DO NOT crop, edit, distort, or alter my watermark by any means necessary.Absolutely DO NOT, feed my artwork through AI. AI harms artists like myself and many others across the globe. Please respect my wishes and keep the artwork I create far away from AI.

Further Information

As the client, it is your responsibility to provide as much detail and information on how you would like your commission made. There will be moments where I, the artist, may need to ask for more information on the commission or of the character I am working on. A lot of effort goes into every created piece. It is extremely important to myself as an artist in general to get down all of the details needed for all artwork I create, no matter how small. Quality will always remain the most important for what I produce, I don’t just take commissions and create drawings because I want to get paid, no, I pride myself in making things. Rush fee’s can be done, depending on the circumstance! The client will be charged a 25% fee of the commission’s value. I typically draw fast, though this fee is still relevant for clients who do need their commission done ASAP!
Next will be lists of preferences on concepts and ideas I can work on and concepts and ideas that I cannot work on. If your concept or idea falls within the topic of things I will not draw, your commission may get turned down.

  • I will NOT draw:

  • Hateful imagery/targeted concepts towards any groups/discrimination of communities (LGBT, Religious, Political)

  • Depictions of Pedophilia, Zoophilia…

  • Fetishes

  • NSFW/Sexual Imagery

  • Heavy Mecha (Please contact me if you want a quote on this, I can draw light mecha works)

  • Graphic Gore (Please contact me if you would like a quote on how “gorey” I will go with a piece

Revisions

  • Clients may request revisions and changes depending on the commission type.

  • Any and all loose sketch commissions that don't require an approved sketch cannot receive revisions.

  • Clients may ONLY request adjustments, edits, and changes before the shading stage of any commission (if shading is included).

  • Clients will receive thumbnail sketches and/or sketch concepts, they are free to request changes within their sketch given.

  • I will not make any more major changes after the shading stage as I cannot guarantee that I can edit the drawing well enough (there are many probabilities that effect this such as layers being merged, leaving the artwork past a point of revision.)

  • If the client ordered a scene commission or shaded commission, they will receive a screenshot of the flatcolored piece that will need to be approved so I may move forward without further changes

Character Reference Sheet Requirements

When I work on commissions, I require as much character detail as possible from the client. This helps me as an artist to better visualize what the client wants conveyed from their commissioned work. For clients ref. sheets being provided to me when I am working on their said commission, I highly recommend having the following on your character’s reference sheet before commissioning me (this helps avoid any additional wait time being added and helps myself from demanding more details from the client/commissioner):

  • A unshaded view of the desired character to be drawn

  • A mouth view/shot of the character (Reason being is if the client’s OC has a different colored mouth, different colored teeth, different colored tongue, and even unique tongue shapes. Not all commissions will exclusively have an open mouth, this just leaves more room for creativity if I, the artist, decide to give the character for the commission an open mouth).

  • [FOR CHARACTERS WITH DETAILED MARKINGS] A “bald” view of the character’s head if needed.

  • [OPTIONAL] Body view of the character without clothing, in case the client would like a commission of the character in a different outfit or without clothing.

  • Clear indicators for OPTIONAL and NOT OPTIONAL features on the said character (Ex. Client’s raccoon OC wears a blue bandana and it is NOT OPTIONAL and MUST be drawn, it is explicitly stated in the client’s given ref sheet).**

Commercial Usage of Artwork

  • Clients seeking to use their made commission for commercial use would have to pay a Commercial Fee or Monetized Fee. The client will be required to notify myself, as the artist, for such cases of usage that will allow the client to make profit off of my designs and creations.

  • Custom characters and adopts are excluded from these terms, as long as the client appropriately addresses myself as the original creator of said design. This also applies if the client has intentions of altering or completely changing the design, if the design originated from myself, then I require credit to be given when necessary.

  • Monetized Online Usage: Clients planning on using the commissioned works for online usage not limited to- advertisement, online promotions, or usage in streaming services.

  • Commercial Usage Offline: Clients planning on using the commissioned works not limited to- physical merchandise (shirts, stickers, lanyards…) physical signs/banners/ or flyers.

!!Artificial Intelligence Usage!!

Under absolutely NO circumstances will I, the artist, EVER approve of the usage of generative AI or any AI of any sort to be used on my artwork. I am heavily against the usage of AI, and I have absolutely zero tolerance for any excuse for its usage. If you do not respect my wishes, I kindly ask for you to seek out someone else for a commission, respectfully.If you suspect my artwork is being fed through an AI algorithm of any sort, please contact me via email or any of my presented social medias to bring it to my attention.
Clients suspected of using my work in AI are to be blocked and blacklisted for good.

Cancellations and Refunds

Clients are eligible for a full refund if the sketch has yet to be started or shared with the client.If the commission is within the sketch stage and I have shared the sketch with the client up until this point, a half refund may be returned. Any requested refunds after the sketch phase may decrease depending on the stage I am at for the commission.I suffer from a chronic illness, if for whatever reason that illness flares up and I am unable to continue the process or the commission has far passed its deadline because of the medical issue, the client will receive a full refund, regardless of what stage the commission is at (unless completed).Clients will not receive a refund if the commission has been completed and sent over.Cancellations will only occur if an unforeseen situation occurs during the commission process. I reserve the right to cancel and refund the client if a situation breaks out, regarding their side or even my own. Unfortunately if the client does have a situation break out, they will receive their refund and all means of contact will be cut, resulting in blacklist and blocking on social media. This is to protect my safety as an artist and as a person, along with protecting the audience I post for and the communities I am associated with.
